Luke Patience and Stuart Bithell talk through Miami OCR in the 470 class

British 470 sailors Luke Patience and Stuart Bithell burst on to the scene at last summer's World Championships where they won a silver medal after only a few days sailing together.

Proving this was no flash in the pan, Luke and Stuart followed up with another silver at Skandia Sail for Gold regatta in Weymouth last September, and now after day one at Miami OCR they lie in silver medal position with scores of 8,2,6 from their first three races.

Friend
of SailJuice, editor of OffshoreRules.com Justin Chisholm caught up with Luke and Stu after their first day of racing to ask them more about their new partnership and their aspirations for the future...

Justin picked up one of their coach's tips: "Never look at the scoreboard until the end!" If you want to learn more about why, get it from the horse's mouth where Morgan Reeser offers some advice that helped him to a surprise silver medal in the 470 back at Barcelona 1992.
